I can't have any rice or pasta either for the next ten days Rooster. I can have small amounts of bread but only whole grain. I'm not supposed to have any wine for the first stage of the diet but I snuck a glass a couple of nights ago.

Why is it so hard to change old habits?
by I quit! inmonday i started the healthy diet i had been planning to start since the new year began.
this week i also went out and bought some financial magazines to help me review what i was doing and see if i could get any good ideas.
so today, thursday i sit down and start thumbing through money magazine.

I had to get out and I'm so happy that I did. I didn't want to lose friends and family but the decision not to associate with me was theirs not mine. The good of being out far out weighs the bad.

My Bethel Experience part 8
by new boy inwell it is 4:00 a.m. in the morning and i can't sleep, so might has well write.. everything at bethel is seniority........"how long have you been here?
" if you wanted a better room you need some seniority, rooms would go up on a bid system.
if you were a new boy, and all your friends were new boys, it could be a year or two before you got a decent room and 10 years to get a room with its own bathroom, pre towers days.

There seem to be a lot of gay people at Bethel. I wonder if they go there to try to hide from who they really are. Or do they think they can work it out of themselves or that being close to the hub of "Jehovah's organization" it will just go way. Anyway it is always interesting reading about your little slice of Hell on earth.

Monday I started the healthy diet I had been planning to start since the New Year began. This week I also went out and bought some financial magazines to help me review what I was doing and see if I could get any good ideas. So today, Thursday I sit down and start thumbing through Money magazine. I find an article that interests me and start to read it. Halfway through it I realize what I am reading. The article is titled "How Sweet It is" and is an article rating the best chocolate for Valentines Day. I can't believe it! Without even being conscious of what I was doing I gravitated to the article on chocolate in a financial magazine. It is so easy to slip back into bad habits. It can happen without you even being aware of what is going on.

My exwife was a parrot

he went to a pet store, but was told by the pet shop owner that they only had one parrot that fit his criteria but he probably would not want to purchase this particular parrot because it had been previously owned by one of jehovah's witnesses.
the man said he was not worried, looked the parrot over carefully,purchased it and took it home.

That was a funny story. I once had a roommate who tried to teach his parakeet to say “Jehovah is God" but all it would say was "pretty Jehovah". It was very irritating but so was the roommate.

That is great! With comedy you have to stick with what everyone is familar with and every one has had a dub at the door. I wonder what reaction you will get from them if you ever have any j-dubs in the audience. It sounds like fun but I could never do it.

my mom is leaving wtbs!!!
she apparently celebrated christmas with dad but even that was just a tip of the iceberg.

by new boy inpeople would ask me "how long do you plan on staying at bethel" i would say "forever!.....or 4 years which ever comes first" .
besides the about 48 hours you worked there a week, you would have other duties too.
there was dish duties.

Long work days under bad conditions. Pervs creeping around the buildings. It sounds like a wonderful place to go mad. I don't think Disneyland has to worry about Bethel stealing their title as the happiest place on earth. I'm glad you survived your stay there New boy. I don't think I would have. Keep the stories coming.
